Dua/el

Dua/el is inspired by the famous fencing duel between the Princess Pauline Metternich and the Countess Kielmannsegg. The women fought over who got to choose the flower arrangements for the theater production they were putting on. The collection pulls from this event in the quilting to mimic padded fencing gear and the modern princess details in many of the looks. The dualities in the collection are also reflected in embroidery details that reflect classic stitches used in tailoring combine the classically male profession of tailoring with the more feminine embroidery, commonly practiced by princesses and other high society ladies. Dual/el is for todays modern boss women who are not afraid to rock bold color and even a sword or two.
